DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The Department of Telugu was established in the academic year 1980 in the college. Department was started with one sanctioned post. At present the department consists of the following Teaching faculty.

Ever since the establishment of the Department, the Teaching Staff have been well experienced with Academic excellence and higher qualifications. Apart from Teaching they also take active participation in Literary and Cultural programs being conducted time to time in the College.

Importance of Telugu Language and as Literature
Telugu is a Dravidian language. Sri Krishna Devaraya asserts దేశభాషలందుతెలుగులెస్సwhich means telugu is the greatest language among all the languages in india. Telugu language has been praised as "Italian of the East". The language is having very rich heritage of folk literature as well as classical literature. Telugu as a race is older than the Vedic culture. Telugu script is recognised as the 2nd best in the world. Telugu is the official language for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.
